1. Overview
We aim to collect as little data as possible. There are no user accounts, no registration, and no personal profiles. You can use the tool without telling us who you are.
2. What We Collect
- Video URLs: The YouTube links you submit to generate a study pack.
- Generated study packs (cached): We cache generated study packs on our server for deduplication and performance. This means if someone requests the same video, we serve the cached result instead of re-processing it. This cache is system-level and not tied to any user identity.
- IP address (hashed): We hash your IP address with SHA-256 and a salt, then use it solely for daily rate limiting. The hash is stored in short-lived KV storage and expires within 24 hours.
- Waitlist email (optional): If you voluntarily submit your email on the pricing page, we store it to notify you when Pro launches.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not store original video content or raw captions. Captions are fetched, processed, and discarded.
- We do not create user accounts or profiles.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
- We do not run advertising on this site.

5. Data Retention

6. AI-Generated Content
Study packs are generated by AI (DeepSeek with GLM-5.2 fallback). We do not guarantee accuracy. Study packs are for reference only and should not replace watching the original video for critical information.
7. Cookies & Analytics
Plausible Analytics (always on). We use a self-hosted Plausible instance (served from plausible.shipsolo.io) to measure aggregate traffic. Plausible is cookieless: it does not set analytics cookies or use persistent identifiers to track individuals. Page-view data is collected in aggregate, not linked to you personally. Because no tracking cookies are involved, this script loads unconditionally and is not gated by the cookie banner.
GA4 & Microsoft Clarity (consent-gated). If enabled, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity use cookies. These scripts load only after you explicitly choose "Accept All" on our cookie banner. Choosing "Essential Only" prevents them from loading. See our Cookie Policy for details.
8. Your Rights
You can request deletion of your waitlist email at any time. Since we do not maintain user accounts, there is no personal data to export or delete beyond the waitlist. Contact: our contact page.
9. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will update the date above when we do.
